| Southwestern Va Bassmasters held their sixth tournament of the year at Lake Gaston on June 12th and 13th. After the two (2) night ordeal was complete, Wally Dryman and Wayne Fenton had the heaviest sack, with a combined weight of 36.95 lbs. As it turned out, it took every single fish to win this thing.. There was a total of 344.46lbs of fish caught and weighed. Not a bad tournament in anyone's book. Congrats to Wally and Wayne. Second place belonged to Jeff Gray and Ricky Talbert, who weighed a total of 35.27lbs.. Man, you weigh 35lbs of fish, and still come in second... Gotta make you wonder, but still a great effort. With a total for the year of 109.08lbs, the title is still well in reach.. Keep chunkin' and windin'..... Third place was Greg Peters and Jeff Hale. This duo, which is mounting a comeback on first place holders, team Price/Saville, weighed a total of 32.90lbs. With a team total for the year of 112.54lbs, they are knocking on the door for a repeat of last years championship. Hang in there guys, Price & Saville won't go down without a fight though... Shane Costa caught the biggest fish of the tournament, a largemouth that tipped the scales at 5.39lbs. Great fish Shane and I'm sure that the sidepot money, really made the ride home seem alot shorter. **Note : There's been a "shake-up" in the leader board, so make sure you check it out.... There's only 10lbs separating 1st and 8th place... It's anyone's game going into these last few tournaments...
